James Fifelski, Esq. is a criminal defense attorney at Fifelski Legal, PLC. Mr. Fifelski is licensed to practice in all state courts of Michigan and the federal district court for the eastern district of Michigan. He has defended people charged with serious felonies and misdemeanors, including murder charges and other high profile cases. Mr. Fifelski has practiced in approximately 7 circuit courts and 25 district courts throughout Michigan. Mr. Fifelski has a record of successfully obtaining acquittals and dismissals of criminal charges before Judge and Jury and has won many cases on appeal.
Before opening his own law practice in the beginning of 2011, Mr. Fifelski was a partner with Michael J. Vincent, Esq. at the law firm of Vincent and Fifelski, P.C. While in practice there, Mr. Fifelski represented clients involved in high profile cases and obtained strong results. Mr. Fifelski worked primarily as a trial attorney but also handled criminal appeals on a regular basis. After approximately 10 years at a busy partnership, Mr. Fifelski decided to form his own law practice in order to cater more personally to the needs of people facing serious criminal charges.
While attending Ave Maria School of Law, Mr. Fifelski was a member of the Moot Court Board and Vice President of the Criminal Justice Society. Before completing law school, Mr. Fifelski worked as Judicial Intern/Interim Law Clerk for the Honorable Virigina Morgan in the federal district court for the eastern district of Michigan. Mr. Fifelski gained a bird's eye view of the judicial system by working in the federal court system.
